Call of Duty: WW2 will take the series’ veterans on a nostalgic run.
Rumour for Call of Duty: WW2
2017 is turning out to be a hectic week for Activision. The Family Video Gamers YouTube channel leaked several images from a brand new Call of Duty game. These include box art as well as the game logo for Call of Duty: WW2.
While Activision has refused to entertain any requests to comment on the leak, the company did promise investors about its plan to head the game series “back to its roots”.
The game title itself isn’t surprising considering the devs at Sledgehammer Games are making mends to avoid the mixed reviews stirred by the 2014 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. They are doing this by returning focus to the medieval, war-like concept from the original CoD games.
The CoD franchise runs on a three-year development cycle. The developers will surely be looking to make the new game relate as closely as possible to 2008’s World at War. Nowadays, hardcore first-person shooter game fans are growing tired of high-tech, space jumping action and are demanding more realistic, ground action. Placing fan interest into consideration, we have high hopes for Activision’s CoD studios to deliver one of the best CoD games yet.
