PS Plus August games have been announced and we have some stellar titles thing time around. We’re looking at a lot of variety across all the various PlayStation platforms, with some very exciting announced on each of them.
PS Plus August Games for the PS4
The PS4 got the lions share of the games announced this time around- speaking strictly in terms quality and popularity. The titles we’re getting for the PS4 are:
- Just Cause 3
- Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry
- Downwell, PS Vita (crossbuy with PS4)
Just Cause 3 is a game I think you should pay a $100 for because of all the endless fun the game is. We’ve all seen the gifs online of the sun things people get up to with the grapple hook- but trust me actually doing them are so much more fun. The game is more focused on its fun gameplay than really telling an interesting story. This is also exactly why it caught flak for with critics- people did not like the story. In my opinion the story is all but a setting to show case the wonderfully fun mechanics this game has to offer.
Assasin’s Creed : Freedom Cry was a DLC for Assasin’s Creed 4. The DLC took on a shift of tone majorly as it led a more narrative heavy gameplay. The story from the base game was arguably not very interesting but this DLC was the complete opposite. It took on some much darker tones, dealt with the slave trade and showed just how brutal it was.
PS Plus August Games for the PS3
The games the PS3 will be getting are:
- Super Motherload,
Super Motherload is a sequel to Motherload. The gameplay is simple and addictive- players have to dig in the surface of Mars and find resources to survive. Time and again they have to come back up to fill up the cargo bay.
Snakeball is a re-imagining of the classic Snake game. The game features a disco floor where you have to push a ball into a hole.
PS Plus August Games for PS Vita
- Level 22
Downwell as the title may suggest is a game where your character jumps down a well and fights all sorts of monstwers on the way down. It has a very Castlevania look to it. The game was well loved by mobile users and PS Vita users will play it too!
In Level 22 you’re an office worker,Gary who makes the fatal mistake of drinking on a weekday and arriving hungover to work. You have to work your way around the office aided by a friend to your desk. The game has a charming art style and great humour and is pretty fun too!
