Ubisoft recently announced on their blog that their hit FPS Rainbow Six Siege has hit 20 Million individual registered players. They also said that they get 2.3 million players everyday.
The game has come a long way to become this popular and so regularly played- beating even the toughest of competition. From it’s 20 initial operators to now 30, it has surely grown. The game also now has 16 world-wide maps- with more maps being added soon under Season 3.
Rainbow Six Siege : Operation Health
Operation Health is a project many more games should aim for. Ubisoft has taken the initiative and launched this program to help tackle the bugs, problems and concerns that face players everyday. Using this platform, the developers will be able to directly fix player problems.
This platform is aiming to make matches more stable and provide a user friendly environment. Commenting on this milestone and Operation Health, Product Director Nicolas Lefebvre said: “Our community is growing and so is our ambition to make Siege a shooter that is here to stay.The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong.”
Rainbow Six Siege: Season Three
Season three is to be released soon and it has a few additions to the game. Namely: two new operators, a new map and weapons. The new operators will be from Hong Kong’s Special Duties Unit and the other from Poland’sGrupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego (GROM). These new operators will change up game play style and will offer a variety of changes.
